NAU MAI TĀTOU

Taranaki Cathedral rests with a collection of houses spanning eras and architects, a reflection of our story over generations. Yet we are more than a building, we are a collection of people learning to follow the way of Jesus, and learning how to be good neighbours. St Mary’s church has a complex history on this land. To create a better future we cannot forget our story.  Instead of dealing with our wrongs with avoidance or “cancel culture”, we are committed to listening to every side, having the difficult conversations, and learning from our indigenous roots. Reconciliation is not a destination. It is a long journey of shared experiences worked out through relationship. Our desire is to meet around a cuppa and foster a common union where we can only hope to include you!
